Entries in future don't become visible

description

Hello,

When I enter a announcement in the future, it doesn't become visible when thee publish-date/time is reached.
When I edit the announcement and 'Save' it, it becomes visible.

Also when the expire-date/time is reached it still is visible. Also when I open and save the announcement, it disappears......

Can you help me with this one?

DNN version: 06.02.07
Announcements version: 4.0.3

Hi,

We are having the exact same issue on DNN 07.02.02.

The only workaround we've found so far is to manually run the "clear module cache" scheduled task.

I found fix for this. Go to Module Settings --> Page Settings --> Cache Settings and set the cache time to zero. You may also want to switch the cache provider to the database if you have a cluster that does not use the same file path.

You'll need to do this for each page the module is installed on, or you could run this SQL:
UPDATE [TabModules] SET CacheTime = 0, CacheMethod = 'DatabaseModuleCachingProvider' WHERE ModuleTitle = 'Announcements';
There may still be a bug here. It appears the module is taking the page cache settings by default, and it probably should not if that means the scheduling feature is broken by default?

Hi Kris,

It looks like your solution works!
Thanks!
